Wanted: Backstage plating assistent
You will support the Performance Artist in preparing the edible components of the artworks (plating). Without your support, the art experience could not welcome a new group of visitors every half hour: a crucial role!
The edible elements of the artworks must arrive at the right location at the right time and correct temperature. You will focus on preparing these edible components so that the Artwork Controllers can present them within the installations. This is a true team effort. When needed, you will occasionally assist with cleaning and sanitizing the installations between rounds. You will work according to HACCP protocols and ensure that every presentation looks impeccable! At the end of the evening, you will help clean and close down the venue, followed by a relaxed drink with the team.
How It Works
- All four artworks feature an edible element that must be prepared for every intake. Depending on the artwork, this may involve heating and plating ingredients or crafting flexible spheres (reverse spherification).
- A new group of visitors arrives every 30 minutes, making seamless teamwork (among a 8-person team each evening) essential to delivering an unforgettable experience.
- At the end of each round, efficient cleaning is required
- You will work in a welcoming team within a flexible staff pool.
- Cross-training for other roles is also available (such as Performance Artist, Experience Host, or Art Host).
- An evening shift runs from 17:00 to 23:00 (excluding pre-shift meal and post-shift drink); exact times vary based on your role and ticket sales.
