Wanted: Gastontvanger (M/V/X)
You are the very first person visitors meet during an evening at Dineum. You greet them with warmth and hospitality, serving each guest a spectacular cocktail (featuring dry ice) and a truly unique amuse-bouche. During the evening, you are responsible for making that crucial first impression. You welcome guests warmly and verify their reservations on the guest list. You answer any questions regarding tickets, allergies, and dietary preferences. Every guest receives a name sticker, making it easy for staff throughout the museum to address visitors personally. You provide each guest with a cocktail and an amuse-bouche, ensuring that groups transition on time to the next space, where they are welcomed by the Art Host. Thanks to your dedication, visitors start their evening on a high note. At the end of the shift, you are responsible for closing down the arrival lounge according to HACCP protocols. How It Works - An impression of the cocktail is shown in the image on this page; its signature element is the dry ice, for which you will receive safety training. - The amuse-bouche is a molten 'clock' presented on a ceramic branch—a culinary technique specifically developed for this pop-up museum. - The challenge is ensuring that every 30 minutes, a new group of visitors receives their cocktail and amuse-bouche, with time to use the restroom before entering the experience. - You also manage guests arriving early or late without making them feel rushed or unwelcome: first impressions matter! - Cross-training for other roles is also available (such as Performance Artist, Art Host, or Backstage Plating Assistant). - You will work in a welcoming team within a flexible staff pool. - An evening shift runs from 17:00 to 23:00 (excluding pre-shift meal); your specific role finishes around 21:00, depending on the number of filled time slots that evening. Who We Are Looking For - You have a strong affinity with art and culture. - You know how to make people feel welcome and immediately at ease. - Available on Friday and/or Saturday evenings starting October/November 2026, with potential expansion to Thursdays and Sundays if additional operating days are added. - Experience with HACCP / hospitality is a plus. - Available for at least 6 months starting October/November 2026; monthly scheduling is flexible (fixed days are negotiable). - Living in or near The Hague is a plus. - Fluency in both Dutch and English (B2/C1 level) is preferred; English-only applicants are negotiable. What We Offer - Weekly payouts based on hours worked - Paid holiday allowance and accrued vacation days - Travel allowance - Complimentary meal, snacks, and drinks during work shifts - Pension scheme contribution - Occupational health service included - Flexible monthly scheduling (fixed working days available) Are you the candidate we are looking for, or do you have questions?
